Emerald City Comic Con 2010

I tried to scan this, but it didn't turn out so well, the picture is somewhat better, but like they, the photo doesn't do it justice.

Whilce Portacio was the first artist to work on this, but Philip was the first one to agree to doing it. There were a few artists I thought of when it came to doing the Nightwing on this piece, but the Nightwing piece he did previously sealed it for me. Philip had a rough time with the ink wash, only because of the paper, but ended up doing a beautiful job on it and I couldn't be happier.

Special thanks to Philip, and to Kirk Dilbeck for setting it up and being so helpful on this piece. Philip was so gracious and a great guy, and it was a pleasure meeting both of them.

This is tremendous! Brilliant choice to have Philip do the art chores on Nightwing. The textures that his tonal shading create make Nightwing look like he's coming right off of the page.
