Description

I am seriously digging Francis Portela's artwork right now, and as a pretty serious GI Joe collector and fan (and even more specifically, Snake Eyes) when this cover art became available I jumped on it.
To me, Portela's use of contrast I find to be super compelling, dynamic and unique. Simple lines and stark tones.
Big thanks to Miles and Black Diamond for his great communication and helping me with another welcome addition to the collection.

The black and white art looks so good. Great contrast! The colors on the printed cover do a disserivce to the art.

Tight precision lines made even more so in contrast to the big chunks of black and white negative space! A ninja first, Snake-Eyes can blend into the environment and become invisible.

Very nice! Another great mix of shadow with the figure and love the design element of having his shoulder symbol be almost light coming from a background window. Another sweet Portela Snake Eyes...and this one a cover! Congrats!
