DescriptionI just happened to get my monthly comic shipment from Discount Comic Book Service a couple days before this year's Emerald City Comic Con. As soon as I flipped to this DPS in New Avengers 40 my jaw hit the floor. I was honestly so excited by how cool the art was that I couldn't wait for my wife to get out of the shower to show it to her! The comic got a little wet but its replaceable. ;-) Fortunately when I e-mailed Jim about it was still available and he was bringing it with him to the show. I had been wanting a great example of Jim's amazing work and I definitely found it with this piece. Thanks to my wonderful wife for convincing me to spend the money when I was trying to be responsible and not spend more then I budgeted. She knew I would regret it if I passed on it and someone else purchased it.Social/Sharing |

I understand your meaning when you stated about your jaw dropped when you saw this page. So did mine...when I saw the pencils. Just an outstanding page my friend. Can NEVER say enough good things about Jim's work...thanks for sharing!!

Best page of the issue? Have you seen the last page? Nah, great page, when I saw it in the comic I was blown away. I'm glad it found it's place in your home Ken.

Hi Ken---the art you got here is obviously a great example of Jimmy's work!!!! But, I really enjoyed hearing how your wife encouraged you to buy it despite you trying to be fiscally responsible. You have a very understanding spouse. 8 )

I can't decide which makes me more jealous, this kick ass dps, or a wife that supports your habit.

Not a big Cheung fan, but this is great. Definitely too nice of a piece to have a scan this small. hint-hint!

This piece sort of closes the door on ultimate Galactus pages, doesn't it? Beautiful.
