DescriptionBack in George's heyday, I asked him to do a self-portrait at his drawing desk, similar to the Silver Age classic cover to Strange Tales #108. I was super-pleased with the result! George was one of the most accommodating artists you will ever come across, and was always willing to take fan ideas and turn them into magic. He is missed.Social/Sharing |

I think this is like writing a resume for some artists who may never even try to do a self portrait at their drawing table with characters they have worked on. Some never want to look back while more mature artists relish the idea and have fun like Tuska.

I'm so glad to have come across your amazing collection, especially this piece. I love drawings in which an artist has his or her characters bursting into the real world through their drawing board!
