DescriptionI spend a decent amount of time on Twitter and saw that Jim and Alex from DC were having a Twitter contest for artwork. Being the geek I am, I sat and checked my Twitter feed every 30 seconds or so for when the contest was supposed to start. Alex sent out the instructions, I did what he asked, and BAM! I am the proud owner is this fantastic Green Lantern pinup by Jim!This piece was initially a rejected cover layout for the Green Lantern #50 variant. Originally, it was just a detailed head and a rough outline for a body; Jim was gracious enough to tighten up the sketch for the contest. Love the layout of the piece, as it makes one heck of a pinup! The energy seeping out of the ring looks fantastic and the light beaming from the battery fits so well. An iconic GL pose; I love this piece! Never, ever thought I could own anything of Jim's and I am overjoyed to have won this! Huge thanks to Jim, Alex, and the fine folks at gelatometti!!!! This is the main reason why I like Jim Lee so much. Doesn't ask for anything in return and really loves his fans. I remember following this on twitter as well. and when it was time, i checked in at 3 hours later. Congrats on the Piece, it's EXCELLENT!
