Description

(2007, Gouache on standard Marvel comic board - 11" x 17")
Missed this astounding splash when it became available years ago, but thanks to a friend reorganising his amazing collection (thanks Chris!!) gratefully managed to secure it :) The piece was originally published portrait, but works equally as powerful in landscape (and also allows for a better scan!) Esad really went all out in this scene which relives the early days of the Surfer. A favourite splash from anything I've read, ever!
