(2010, Watercolours on watercolour paper, 10.5"x15.5" Full bleed)

Gorgeous colours and crazy detail in this stunning cover by Esad! I thought I'd never find a piece that I loved as much as Ronan's Silver Surfer splash and thankfully this cover popped up, which I was sure someone else would already snatched. I just LOVE the whole genre of taking characters and applying an "age" shift. And as a designer I find the whole Iron Man Armour design is just beautiful :) There (to me) is obvious inspiration drawn from other famous fantasy artists (I'll let the viewer decide), and those with Esad's work will know all the true detail of the piece that I had trouble capturing with this scan. I thought his work couldn't get better but with his group of covers this year it is reaching even greater levels :) Thanks Esad and Anthony!
