DescriptionJohn Watson does it again. He takes a great George Perez cover, and fuses it with a dash of Curt Swan glory days from the Adventure Comics era to gives us Nemisis Kid facing the Legion.Just as that single Teen Titans storyline spun into future great epics like the " The Judas Hunt "and introduced complex characters like Deathstroke, Ravager and Terra, so a simple Curt Swan story had ramifications decades out from the initial encounter. Nemisis Kid's next appearance after this story was in the storyline which moved into a newly formed Legion of Super Villians. They of course would be a major part of the epic "Death of Karate Kid " tale. Teen Titans Issue 2 was a great story on its own; so too was Adventure Comics Issue 347 but the mark of a true storyteller ;whether it be a Perez or Swan, Legion or Titans is that ; the story takes on a life of its own and creates new twists and turns for future tellers of tales to make their own... John Watson is truly gifted and amazingly gracious and I urge you to contact him about working on a commission for you. You will really enjoy the journey not just the end result. Phantom Girl is stunning, Superboy is old-school and of course, its always good to have Ferro Lad on a Legion cover ....Enjoy Social/Sharing |

John Watson's Legion work for you and others is really great. He gets the characters and he capture the clean lines that Swan used so effectively. His paintings of the Legion are pretty awesome, too.

More superlative work by John Watson. I really enjoy getting to see his prelims, too--it's great to see such great work come together. And I'll echo what's already been said: John is FANTASTIC to work with!

I love this cover...the original Titans Cover was the very first comic that I read where I noticed the writing and the art as something special. I think the character choices are just genius...and of course, love that Superboy is there!!!
