A fantastic Surfer page from Olivier Coipel's second run on Thor.

I really think Coipel changed the vision of the Surfer with his interpretation of the character.

Though I already owned a few great Surfer page by Coipel, this one reall spoke to me with the in your face half splash. What I found interesting is the sense of extreme speed, with the light distortions and speed lines.

Great work by the Coipel/Morales duo.

This is two pages following perhaps my favorite piece of comic art I've ever seen: the DPS where the Surfer streaks past the cafe windows (and subsequently blows them out due to the velocity of his approach). The light and image warping arounf the Surfer here feel less like a fish-eye view, and more like a bullet-eye view. Dizzyingly fast, intoxicatingly intense. Has anyone else ever captured the elemental speed of the Surfer like Olivier did in this run? Another exquisite rendition of the Surfer in your mighty (Thor) collection, F M. Absolutely love it! Congrats!
