Description

I bought this Ghost Rider #15 cover prelim from a dealer, I had this idea in my head that I would get it finished someday. The opportunity arrived at Big Wow comic fest 2013 in San Jose. I had a short discussion with Mark's agent about getting it inked and what you see here is the final result. The prelim was drawn on Marvel board and predates the cover that was published back in 1991. A big thank you goes to Mark Texeira for transforming this rough sketch into a grail.

This piece has little more detail than the original. It has more of his shoulders showing and more detail on the top of the skull. He worked on this for about a day and a half at the con.

Incredible piece! I've never seen an artist fully finish a prelim sketch before, but this is amazing! Truly the next best thing to the original! Wow, buddy, you really scored on this one!

As for me, maybe I'd have kept this prelim as it was and then bought the original cover asap... Seriously, congrats on this great piece!

I remember this cover well. It was one of the glow in the dark ones. Of course you know I just HAD to try it out. And it really did glow. LOL
