Description

I am always impressed for the ability of Frank Miller to make stoic and heroic characters, in this case he choose a girl of color that is born in a ghetto of USA. She is a character who has it all against at birth and that she will continue to have it very difficult throughout his life. Give Me Liberty is also a story of science fiction, which is presented to us in a United States where there are wars because of the interests of the multinationals, which enlist in the army is the only option to get out of the ghetto, and where corruption is present at all levels of politics. All this and much more is Give Me Liberty, a story that i do not believe that you leave one indifferent. In this DPS appearing the President Howard Johnson Nissen (not Nixon), a secondary character in politics but fruit of the chance he just becoming President. And how ironic is it that he becomes in the best President of all. The DPS is colored by one of my ever favorite authors, Dave Gibbons, and i think that here he did one of his best works.

De Frank Miller siempre me ha impresionado su habilidad para hacer personajes estoicos y heroicos, en este caso elige a una chica de color que nace en un gueto de EEUU. Un personaje que lo tiene todo en contra al nacer y que seguir� teni�ndolo muy dif�cil a lo largo de su vida. Give Me Liberty tambi�n es una historia de ciencia ficci�n, que se nos presenta en unos EEUU donde existen guerras por culpa de los intereses de las multinacionales, donde alistarse en el ejercito es la �nica opci�n para salir del Gueto, y donde la corrupci�n hace acto de presencia en todos los estamentos de la pol�tica. Todo esto y mucho m�s es Give Me Liberty, una historia que no creo que deje indiferente a nadie. En esta DPS aparece el presidente Howard Johnson Nissen ( no Nixon ) un personaje secundario en la pol�tica pero fruto de la casualidad se acaba convirtiendo en presidente. Y lo ir�nica es que se convierte en el mejor presidente de todos. La DPS est� coloreada por uno de mis autores favoritos de siempre, Dave Gibbons, y creo que aqu� hace uno de sus mejores trabajos.
