DescriptionWhile Gil Kane was one of the Top Action Artists (to me he's on the Top of the Tops with... well, you know who!), he was versatile enough to be at ease in all situations. Like this page from one of the first solo Batgirl adventures, depicting, not one but two gorgeous Batgirls : Barbara Gordon (not Gorman) and dastardly Darlene Dawson who, in a pure Red Riding Hood style, prefers visiting her grandfather than being honoured as "Air-Hostess with the mostest"... Mmmm, sure !Since this story was adapted in France only a few months after its appearance in Detective Comics, I'm pretty sure this must have been my first exposure to Gil Kane's art... And, talk about exposure! Of course, Murphy Anderson's lush inks adds a lot to the page, but even then, even after all these years... Be still, my heart! Social/Sharing |

Gil Kane art is always a joy to own. The combo with Anderson is unique and the result is also something quite unique with both artists' styles coming out. Nice page!
