Description

This now framed 24x48 paintings is one of the top 10 premium paintings of my career. I did this painting not for a client, but because I was inspired to. I loved many aspects of the Man of Steel movie, but was very drawn to the Kryptonian back story and the production design of their homeworld and characters. This painting brings together many elements and concepts that are crucial to the Superman ideal, including his father looking upwards to the future, putting his son before himself, and Superman himself as a more iconic character, remaining in shadow until needed, but representing some of the best that mankind can be. Only a few pieces in my career have been lavished with this much time, hence the more premium asking price for this unique one of a kind fine art illustration. - Thanks - Monte (framed 24x48 painting on illustration surface mounted to masonite, mixed media of acrylic, colored pencil and airbrush)
