Description

I have had these pages for a long time... in fact I bought them from Jim Mooney. I thought people would like to see them... two pages from the Superboy meets Kara in Argo City story that appeared in Action 358 (cover date January 1968). These two page were pencilled and inked by Mooney before DC had the near-sighted approach to "let him go. Blasphemy... just as they did with Shuster, Papp, Swan, Bob Brown and any number of great artists.

This is the page 6 of the story and shows Superboy in Argo City. First Zor-el sees Kal as a double for his brother Jor-el then Superboy and Kara fly around in propulsion-pacs searching for a pair of prism birds that had escaped. Both display super feats without super powers.

The only one that beats Mooney on Supergirl is Schaffenberger... and maybe Swan..
