Description

Here's the last of the group designs. This is Sean Murphy's character design for Cruz done in preparation for his 10 issue story with writer, Scott Synder in 2014.

This character design was published in the director's cut of issue #1 (August 28th, 2014) and again in the hardcover trade (November 11th, 2014). I was lucky enough to get this piece signed by Sean at the NC Comicon in Durham, NC on November 15, 2014.

Nice turnaround piece! Lots of Murphyisms with the sharply defined facial features that rather have the short straight lines than to use curved lines. It gives Cruz a more rugged look to match the personality they came up for him.

This character was definitely NOT inspired by Jean Reno! :) It's cool one, btw. I like that book.
