DescriptionOn January 25th, 2014 my girlfriend of five+ years Debra Jane Shelly passed away in her sleep on a sunny afternoon from an epileptic seizure.Debra had an enormous impact on the Toronto comics scene - from helping me with events at the Comic Book Lounge like our Ladies Night events, volunteering at Fan Expo Canada and the Toronto ComiCONs. She was a sweet natured, gentle and giving soul who knew exactly how to make the people feeling most awkward in a room feel like they were part of an in crowd. She loved to be a nerd and was proud to know as many as she could. On February 2nd, Ty Templeton ran a very special Bun Toon Webcomic (or Sun Toon as he entitled it that day), about Debra and the impression she had made on him. Thank you Ty for doing this, and for being so generous as to let me have the originals from that cartoon. It meant a lot to me and to Debra's family and friends, of which you were definitely both.
