Description

UPDATE - February 15th, 2017 - These pieces were published in the Dark Horse Comics deluxe hardcover.

Sabertooth Swordsman! These are 7 different original pieces in different shapes and sizes, complete with push pin holes from where Aaron had them hanging while he worked on the Sabertooth Swordsman book. These are the original character designs drawn by Aaron Conley back in 2011.

Several of these pieces were published in a very early flip book (cover photo below) that Aaron and Damon Gentry created a few years back. I believe Aaron and Damon used these flip books to promote their work and also sent them out to publishers and editors, which eventually landed them a deal with Dark Horse.

From left-to-rright and top-to-bottom:
1) Sabertooth Swordsman
2) Jolene
3) Cyclops Wrestlers
4) Henchmen
5) Goat
6) Hydra
7) Mastodon Mathematician

Take a good look at Sabertooth Swordsman himself and note he was originally designed here with a tail! I'm a big fan of Aaron's art and many many thanks to him for letting me pick these up at Heroes Con 2014 and for being a rad dude as well!

I've really started to notice Aaron's work lately, a unique style and have heard nothing but great things about this book.

I highly recommend getting a copy of the hardcover or checking out the issues on Dark Horse digital. It's a fun read and I keep finding myself flipping back through and just enjoying the art.
