DescriptionI've been collecting comic art since about mid way through the first decade of the 2000's.I always meant to pick up pieces around 92-93 on, but while art would have been more affordable then, I know so much more about storing it properly, and taking better care of it now, then I ever would have then. So in a way I'm not as sad I couldn't get some of the pieces I wanted from the back ads of Comic's Buyers Guide when it was still in a newspaper weekly format. Especially when a piece such as this made itself available to me. This is the first piece I've owned from a published comic I was a huge fan of when it was first published in those years I spent most of my time into comics. '87-'95 or so. To finally own a piece of my mainly teenage years having been a heavy comics reader now feels really really good, so thanks a ton Ross for this stellar piece, from a really really good early to mid 90's series, Matt Wagner's Grendel : War Child a 10 issue larger mini series, taking place right after where issue 40 of the Comico series ended. A nice feature of those War Child issues was the summary of all that came before it in the backs of each issue. I really dug Grendel as a concept in those days, and when I finally reread War Child, and finally get around to reading issues 1-40 of the reprinted Comico series, I'll be even prouder to own this piece of art from War Child. Thanks also to my dear wife who after a vacation didn't mind helping me out with close to 1/3 the cost of this piece, Mary you rock babe, and owning this means a great deal to me, so it's very decent of you to make sure I wound up getting it. God I'm so glad I joined this site! :D Social/Sharing |

Thanks Jean-Claude, I am thrilled to own it. It's really one of those scenes from my prime days of being into comics in my youth that I remember the image from so well even years later. I was really lucky I came by this, almost randomly, messing around the CAF site. :D
