Description

Shinji Nishikawa did this amazing piece for me. I met him at Son of MONSTERPALOOZA. He was a creature designer on one of the Godzilla movies in Japan. He was doing amazing, rather affordable sketches at the show. Godzilla, Godzilla, other monster from Godzilla. It was amazing how people would ask for the Godzilla from the movie of a certain year, and he knew them all by heart. He was sketching Godzilla or another creature from a Godzilla movie one after the next. Of course I have to come in and be difficult, asking for my all-time favorite character, The Darkness, and then topping it off by asking if he'd do a demonic mini Godzilla as one of his darklings. He charged me a little bit more, not much. I'm standing there watching him work, doing this great darkness piece and then he starts on the Godzilla. Finishes Godzilla, and adds another monster, and another, and another. I was blown away! I had only asked for the one. Now I have Darkness, King of the Monsters. Amazing. A new awesome favorite in my collection!
