DescriptionWhat more can be said about Ian Richardson than I have already said about him with my first commission(actually this was my first). The fact that I gave him a brief description of what I wanted for this cover and he came up with this put's him at the top of my commission list. Really love how he handled Sir Percy and how he has Mordred in the background looking like he's up to no good(He isn't) Ian also provided digital inks for this piece while logo's and blurbs were once again done up right by the amazing Chris Ivy. Couldn't be happier on how this all came together. Great job Ian and Chris! This is the third part in my Nova fantasy series taking place between Nova issues 11&12 Story Synopsis: In a desperate attempt to save his girlfriend Ginger Jaye who was injured during a battle between Nova and The Cobalt Man,The man called Nova has traveled to Latveria, home of sovereign dictator Doctor Doom. After a brief skirmish Doom has agreed to let Nova use his time machine to return to the recent past, several minutes before Ginger was injured to try and prevent the accident. Doom warns Nova that his machine had been damaged and may be faulty. Nova decides that is a chance he will have to take. Given a hand held remote for the time platform,Nova fades from sight. Now: A shimmer of light explodes leaving a groggy Nova standing where he wasn't seconds before. The hand held remote for the time platform is hot in Nova's hands. Nova wonders if he has left Latveria at all as he is in a wooded area and spots a castle in the distance. He will soon find out that Doom's machine has sent him back to 16th century England After rescuing a woman in distress from to armed attackers with swords,Nova is approached by Mordred who thanks the “Flying Knight” for aiding the woman. In actuality it was Mordred who ordered his men to kidnap the woman who ran off. Using his cunning,Mordred befriends Nova and asks for his help to end the reign of terror of his enemy The Black Knight. This in an attempt to take his Ebony blade for himself. Nova agrees to help. Sir Percy(The Black Knight),is returning from an errand and is suddenly attacked by Nova. At first The Black Knight is startled by Nova's ability to fly,but that is short lived as he responds using his ebony blade. A swing at Nova is dodged and Sir Percy slices through a great oak. Nova finds that his foe is quite skilled and somewhat impervious to damage. Nova's strength still manages to take Sir Percy down and as Nova tries to take the sword away he is stopped by the commanding voice of King Arthur himself. All the while Mordred has been viewing the battle from a distance and at that moment decides to flee. Nova comes to find that he has been duped by Mordred and that The Black Knight is a servant of King Arthur. Arthur informs Nova that Mordred had been preparing a small army to attack Camelot, and persuades Nova to join him in taking the fight to Mordred himself. Nova and The Black Knight decide that they will be enough to put an end to Mordred's scheme. Finding Mordred's camp the two hero's of different era's defeat the enemy forces, but Mordred has vanished or fled. Nova is invited to Camelot, but declines, saying he has other important matters to attend. He flies back to the area he left his remote for the time machine and once again tries to set it for the moment in time he needs to return to. The time platform re-appears,and just as before, descends over Nova until he vanishes from sight. As this happens Mordred appears from behind a giant oak. With him is a mysterious hooded figure who tells Mordred that they will meet the “Flying Knight” again........Soon! Nest issue: Cowboys and Aliens! Update: Javi is getting a lot of color work from me lately. Once again, two takes, Classic(shown)and Modern(below). Not sure which one I like better here,I generally prefer the classic. Thanks Javi. You nailed it with this one, Rob. Great art, the colors pop and the title is awesome.

Old school fan that I am I'm surprised that I like the modern colors more on this one. But, still, more great! work from Javi.
