Description

While Carl Barks was busy creating stories for the Dell comic books Uncle Scrooge and Walt Disney�s Comics and Stories, other artists were given the opportunity to create most of the stories in the Donald Duck comic book. The most profilic of these artists in the 50s and early 60s was Tony Strobl. Like with Barks and other Western Publishing artists in this period, nearly all of Strobl�s artwork was destroyed at the printing plant. Only a few, scattered pieces have survived. This cover is from 1961.
I am not absolutely sure about the inker. Mayer is an educated guess.
