Description

Original art illustration of the master Guido Crepax for Edgar Allan Poe.

An extraordinary masterpiece of graphics realized by the author in 1951, when he was only 18 years old.

Technique: ink
Size: cm. 33 x 24
The work is signed by the author on the bottom left side.
Enclosed to the oeuvre is the authenticity certification by Archivio Crepax Milano, signed by his heirs (see PICTURE 2).

Very rare and fine masterpiece, mainly unknown to most people: it is part of a cycle of youth illustrations by the Master, dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe’s short stories. Only a few original art illustrations are known from this cycle.
