DescriptionI'm really glad to have landed this cover by Rob especially with a character he created. This cover is from the 1st ongoing Cable series which started in 1993. Surprisingly, this is one of only two covers Rob did for the series. The series went up to #107 - September 2002 and was then continued in Soldier X #1 -2002. IMO this is the best I've seen Rob draw Cable. Regardless of the Liefeld haters, Rob is one of the premier artists who was up there in the 90's with Todd McFarlane and Jim Lee. The other thing that's great about this piece is another super talented artist (Ian Churchill) did the inks.Issue Info: Title: "Who Is Worthy to Break the Seals" Cover Date: January 2000 Story Arc: Apocalypse: The Twelve The great thing about this Giant Sized Anniversary issue is that there is nothing but all out brawls between Cable and Apocalypse. There are several splashes which all look great. I purchased this cover directly from Mike Burkey aka Romitaman. It was great dealing with Mike again as he has always made it an easy process. Such a great addition, D! Can't beat a Cable cover drawn by Liefeld himself.

Definitely not the only Cable cover Rob has drawn. He did the cover to #73, and 75 for this series and covers for issues 1, 6 and 17 for the 2008 series.

I thought about getting this cover at one point, because it is an AWESOME image of Cable. That character will be one of the next "breakout characters," no doubt about that at all. Great grab!

This is an incredible example of Liefeld's work! I've seen this cover used quite a bit by Rob when he posts examples of his work for marketing purposes. So much so that I'm under the impression it's probably one of his favorite works :) Truly an iconic cover for the character and artist, and Churchill's inks are perfect for this piece. Congrats D!!
