Description

Alternate cover to the first issue of the 3rd Gambit series (1999). It also features 4 villains, each on a playing card, Sabretooth, Mister Sinister, Scalphunter and the X-Cutioner.

Inker Tim Townsend had this to say about the piece (from his DeviantArt page):

"Here's the old alternate cover to GAMBIT #1 by Brandon Peterson and myself. I've always had somewhat of a technical bent to my inks, moreso in the 90's than these days, and it worked better with some pencilers than others. I always thought Brando' and I played to each others strengths when we worked togehter. I've worked with him more than a few times over the years and have always been pleased with the results. He's an AMAZING talent. I've known very few people who can pencil, ink, AND color, on the level that he does.

Fantastic cover !! I've always Liked Brandon Peterson's work and Gambit as well, so combining the two results a true winner IMO.
