DescriptionIt's true that Iron Man, in his 50+ year career, has been depicted by a truckload of talented artists. Still, to me, the compass has always pointed in the direction of George Tuska. It's all about his first run on the title really, the first 50-odd issues of the 1968 mag, the first to star Iron Man on his own. And what could be cooler than a fight scene with Lucifer, another of those fifth-rate villains whose paper-thin plot falters within a single issue? Ah, those days before multi-issues sagas... Special note: despite what I say, I actually quite liked that villain. After all, he was the one who had robbed Professor X of the use of his legs, right? Mmmm, I think this is another case of mis-using a potential talent... As for the page, it's action, action all the way! Even if striking the bad guy from the back is not exactly fair, Mr I.M... But Tuska + Esposito: it's a thrill per second! And that's another big childhood tick off my list! Social/Sharing |

As far as Iron Man goes, it's hard to beat Tuska---congrats on a great page!

For me Tuska IM back issues were the hot ticket when I was buying the Layton issues off the stands. I have such fond memories of the Lucifer issue and really must hunt down a page myself. Congrats!!!
