DescriptionThis is the original EC color guide, hand painted by Marie Severin, for page 5 of the story "The Reformers", written by Al Feldstein and drawn by Joe Orlando, from issue #20 of Weird Science, published in 1953. Classic EC irony in this story and a great example in the last panel of Marie's technique of coloring certain characters or scenes all one color, often used to downplay violence (though not in this case.) It is fortunate for collectors that Bill Gaines saved all this stuff, and thanks to Steve for parting with this piece.This item is not for sale.Social/Sharing |

Great example of Marie's coloring. It's amazing that the colors are still so vibrant after all these years!
