Description

I'm fortunate to own three nice pages from one of my favorite Nexus stories, 'Sanctuary', issue 20 from the First Comics period. Nexus takes on the master pirate Steve LeBerq* and his army of colorful alien pirate captains. On this page Nexus rescues Sov refugee Katlin Katrinka with the help of Kreed. The writing and visual storytelling in the issues of this period are both wonderfully complex and satisfying.

*Pirate Captain LeBerq is the son of Sutta LeBerq, brutal leader of the Pan-Galactic Miner's Union, whom Nexus met in the very first Capital Comics Nexus issue.

This page is from 1986, and I picked it up from Albert Moy in 1991.
