Description

This was a really fun piece. I'm usually asked to draw female characters, which is fine, but every once in a while I like to sink my teeth into something different. Well, this piece is definitely that. This drawing features The Gadgeteer, The Skull and Negatron Man, (in that order). The Gadgeteer and The Skull were arch enemies of The Black Hood from way back and the Negatron Man gave The Shield fits. Like I said, definitely a different batch of characters. 11x17.

Wow! Negatron Man!!This is just too cool! I like your female stuff too Kevin......but this is plain old awesome!

Thanks, Rob. Negatron Man was a little tricky. The drawings in the ref were very sloppy. His features changed from panel to panel and I think he had some kind of energy blowing off the top of his head but it was hard to tell. So, I ultimately went with the cleaner version the client wanted.

Hard to tell though. So, I went with the cleaner version the client decided he liked. That made things much easier.

Full props to Kevin for bringing the awesome here. A glorious sense of Kirby to the Gadgeteer. And he's right. The Negatron-Man is the complete opposite of the idea of "on model".
