Description

One of the more confusing elements of Marvel's 90s teen X-Men book was the Samoan mutant called Mondo. He has the ability to absorb the properties of whatever he touches until he digests it, and beyond that he was a fairly easygoing fellow who had no desire to use his mutant power for anything. Then he became friends with Cordelia Frost and she sold him to the Hellfire Club. He later joined Generation X and was none the wiser to what Cordelia had actually done. Then it turned out the Mondo who joined the team was an evil plant copy created by Banshee's cousin, Black Tom. THEN the real Mondo showed up as a villain working with Tom.

Personally I like to believe Gen X has never met the actual Mondo and he's still out there somewhere, and is most assuredly NOT a villain. It helps that his post M-Day status was never made known.

Verz was taking requests on tumblr and DeviantArt, and initially I was having trouble choosing a character before I decided to go with someone I'd never gotten a piece of before. Because Mondo was always seen in either bathing suits, floral shirts, and shorts, I decided to ask for him to be in jeans for the first time.
