Description

Where to begin! Darryl has drawn so much for us over the years and he's really delivered some amazing art to my GI Joe book, so with the book coming to an end I wanted something extra cool from him. I decided on Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow and presented Darryl with reference for numerous looks for each character. After much discussion and debate he decided on Resolute Snake Eyes and Robert Atkins IDW Storm Shadow! He made sure I didn't mind that they were from 2 different periods but I felt they matched up really well. A lot of people don't know this but Darryl offers to ink his sketches. I've never gotten an inked sketch because Darryl's pencils are so tight, I never saw the need. This time however, I decided to add the extra inks. I gave Darryl the Joe book at Gem City Con 2015 and he brought it to me at Bill's Books (my local comic shop) for Free Comic Book Day. Let me say, I wasn't ready for this beauty! The figures alone are perfect, dynamic and in the middle of battle! The HISS Tank is an awesome backdrop and the Arashikage flag is the perfect touch! I cannot thank Darryl enough!
