Description

This cover was not in the original draft but we have added and removed images as the story-line evolved. John and Russ of course,did a great job as usual. We went back and forth over which Legionnaire should be confronting Universo. Our first instinct was to go with the obvious ones such as Superboy or Bouncing Boy .

But Ultra Boy seems a good fit. He has not shown to be especially close to her throughout Legion history but we thought that his own back-story made him a solid choice.

Growing up on a corrupt gang-driven world like Rimbor where terms such as "GOOD" or "BAd" are painted in a least forty shades of dubious and grey morality, he probably could justify making a deal with a character like Universo. He always struck me as a character who could adopt " the end justifys the means approach "...

Universo of course refuses and it gets bad, very BAD for ALL Concerned,next week. Seriously...do NOT say that I did not warn you

Thanks...it is a gem . We had a lively discussion around this piece but the conversation around next weeks image was really heated. I understood the need to do with our heroine what John came up with but I hated the look..it was so NOT her but that was the point. The fact that it made me unconfortable, is indictive of a strong story. I will be curious to see folks reaction. Truthfully, I tried to delay the inevitable for as long as possible which is how this cover got added in...

Thank John so much for the Color versions, they look amazing. Especially with both Dou Damsels there. Using Ultra Boy was a nice change especially since Superboy is on the prelim.
