I had the opportunity to meet John Bolton at the 2015 Tampa Bay Comic-Con.

I picked up this pencil "prelim" of the splash page to the back up story from Classic X-Men #4. Being that it was 11x17 with fully rendered pencils, I asked what the main difference was between this and the published inked page. Bolton told me that he did this piece first then projected the pencil image onto another board and just inked the published piece from this image. Technically this is the actual pencils to the inked version that was published and recently sold on Comic Link.

Very excited to have this piece in my collection.
