Description

This is actually the very first piece of non-comics illustration I ever purchased. Pastel is a notoriously difficult medium to master, so I was completely blown away by the very high level of skill that De la Paz employed here. Upon first seeing it, it reminded me of the great pastel illustrators such as Rolf Armstrong and Zoe Mozert, and although the characters were created after my own time on Sesame Street, I couldn't resist buying it. It ultimately ended up being hung in my daughter's room when she was born.
