Description

This 11" x 14" original illustration drawn and painted by Mirage Studios artist Steve Lavigne was used for the cover of a Young Yearling children's book published in August 1993 called Michaelangelo: The Haunted House.

The 84-page junior novel, which was written by Stephen Murphy, tells the story of how Michaelangelo discovers skateboarding for the first time during a visit to Coney Island. After fixing up a trashed skateboard that he finds under the boardwalk, the Turtle meets up with "Razz" and "Little D," two extreme boarders who ride with him around the amusement park, teach him the art of dude-speak, and buy him grape soda. When the kids enter a closed-down haunted house attraction but never come out, Michaelangelo faces his fears by going in after them.
