My Black Cat by Olivier (seen here: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1267214&GSub=150855) is without a doubt the crown jewel of my collection, so I knew I wanted it framed professionally.

As a Christmas present, my parents decided to have it framed for me. I chose the frame, the color (shiny black), the 'passe-partout' (which I have no idea how to translate) and the size. The framer's did a great job with UV protective, museum-quality, non-reflective glass. I really like how the frame complements the piece (especially that little black line that surrounds the piece). Thanks, mom & dad :) Olivier was happy when he saw this too, which makes it extra cool.

Now it's going up in the living room. Yay!

What a great Christmas present! This is maybe the only thing that could make this piece even more lovely. You'll be even happier in the long run that you've had it properly framed to protect it from UV light, etc. By the way, a 'passe-partout' refers to the mat; that is, the bevel cut mat itself. (I worked in custom framing for a number of years so I became very familiar with the term.)
