Description

Whilce Portacio is a unique talent: on top of his fantastic storytelling and his sense of grandeur, his characters look like nobody else and he always seems to get ahead of the game...

Here, with the first issue of the Iron Man reboot (as part of the very cool, albeit short-lived, Heroes Reborn arc where the top Image artists gave their vision of Marvel classic heroes), he gives his personal rendition of Tony Stark as a mentally-ill genius, completely removed from humanity. This was in 1996, a dozen years before Robert Downey jr hit the screens with a similar approach.

This is where it started!

Oh, let's not forget Scott Williams, here, always impeccable with his inks to enhance the moody ambiance...
