Description

Here is the nineteenth card of the Tarot's Major Arcana X-Men style. Card #18 is The Moon and the choice of character this time is Dani Moonstar. The choice of character this time was because The Moon represents a lot of things related to illusion, intuition, dreams and the unconscious. Danielle's mutant powers are all about tapping into a person's unconscious to project psychic illusions. Her powers, as they have grown, have also had to do with dreams, as well as intuition (her 'death-sight' coming courtesy of her becoming a Valkyrie).

Normally there would be a dog and a wolf, contrasting order and chaos, tame and wild. On the left, the dog has been replaced by Rahne Sinclair, Wolfsbane, in her wolf form (yes, I know, the dog is a wolf, but bear with me... get it? Bear with me?). Rahne was one of Dani's best friends and someone who grew up structured and who was a force of order. The wolf, on the other hand, has been depicted here as the Demon Bear who haunted Dani's dreams and was a chaotic force in her life. The towers in the background have been replaced with skyscrapers as the towers are meant to represent the trappings of an easy life, which to Dani would mean something along the lines of 'the city'. She has always been a character who was connected to the wilderness. Also, there's still a crayfish coming out of the water.
