Description

Though I don’t own a lot of his art, Mike Ploog is a favorite artist of mine. So when his artbook was launched on kickstarter, I had to pledge and went for an original art edition.

To choose between the Thing storyboard and a Dark Crystal one was difficult as both movies are very dear to me. I went for a Thing one in the end as you can see.

I was not at ease with pledging 450$ for a piece of art I could not choose nor see. I mean, what if I don’t like it.

The one I received I find neither good nor bad. I’ve seen better examples and far worse out there. At least it’s the creatures bursting and you have the trademark tentacles.

A nice little piece of art from a master artist and a historic movie.

I was also torn between a THING and a DARK CRYSTAL storyboard. I went the opposite direction. I think you got a fine example and it's a beautiful book. Thanks for sharing!
