Unbelievabl Cover "King Size" (50 x 36 cm) painted masterfully by Rafael López Espí for the Spanish edition of CAPTAIN AMERICA(CAPITAN AMERICA) VOL.2 N°1 (the collection consisted of only 5 issues), published by Vértice in September 1974. It's titled "Secret Empire" and The USA content corresponds to Captain America Vol.1 #173-174, Weird Wonder Tales #1 (1st and 3rd story)), Journey Into Mystery Vol.1 #17 (2nd story), Mystic Vol.1 #6 (1st story) and Marvel Tales Vol.1 #126 (2nd story). The colorful and realism is spectacular for one of the most beautiful covers that the author made to the publisher. This cover, in my opinion, has the same technic and degree of quality that the author made for famous posters in 1972. What makes this really special is that Lopez Espi painted very few covers in this size and with this quality, mainly the issues #1 (vol. 2). For additional images, a comparison between the "King Size" with respect to the size of the rest of normal covers (25x35 cm).

Maravillosa. No me se todas las portadas de López Espi de memoria, pero esta es una de las mejores, sino la mejor, de las que hizo y sin duda la más icónica. Felicidades.

Otra de las mejores portadas de super héroes Marvel para Vértice. Realizándose diferentes eventos relacionados al cómic en nuestro país, seria interesante que fueses participe en alguno para exponer tus piezas... ¡¡¡Enhorabuena!!!
