Description

Gone way too early. Less than 24 hours after learning Darwyn was in hospice care, we heard the news of his passing at the not so tender but still too young age of 53.

I was first exposed to Darwyn's work when John Cogan showed me the complete original art to Catwoman #3, which he had just picked up from Darwyn in SD to deliver to another collector. I was blown away - it was the clean animation-influenced style, but with deep, dark edges.

Thanks to Tim G for the second page - glad you got a semi-replacement in that great Silk Spectre.

Awesome pages Andy. It's nice to know that they have a good home. Cooke was a giant in the industry and these pages show why.

Really great pages Andy. I love these consecutive pages. Darwyn Cooke's death is truely sad. A singular, very original artist!

these 6 panels introduce the new look in a very dynamic way. this is gorgeous. But with people buying complete issues I now understand how it's still so hard to pick up pages from these first issues.
