Description

Finished artwork published as part of a series of four prints titled "Copy Kittens" for Donald Art Co. in 1965. I missed out on another one showing a kitten powdering her nose with "flea powder," but I probably have more than my fair share of Hawley artwork anyway!

Very charming piece. I love the expressiveness here: From the contented, casual satisfaction shown in the cat's body language; her house-lifting technique; and the mouse's exaggerated gestures with both hands. Also, the details on the house and clothing are so well-done. Really fun artwork!
