Description

I recently picked up the original art for the first two pages of All-New Wolverine #7 by Marcio Takara. Since this was Takara‘s first issue of the series, that also makes these the first pages of his run on the book. I already own the original cover for the same issue by Bengal, which made it extra nice to add these to my collection.

I had some trouble deciding which pages I wanted to buy from this issue as there were lots of nice alternatives, but in the end I had to go with the first two pages. There were several reasons. I like that the two pages make up a complete scene. Also the fact that they feature Logan and that it’s kind of an iconic scene between the two characters. We never really saw this scene take place before, but presented here as a flashback it’s a good snapshot of their relationship. Finally, the pages just look good. You gotta love rain-drenched panels showing gruff Logan on a hog of a bike and young Laura looking as sad and vulnerable as a wet kitten.
