This iconic George Perez Wonder Woman cover art comes from the artist's acclaimed run on the 1980s reboot of the Amazonian princess's self-titled series. Wonder Woman has long had a devoted collector following, but with the character due to appear in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice feature film, her legion of fans is fast growing. Perez reinvigorated Wonder Woman in the second half of the 1980s and his works on the character rank among the most sought-after originals of the heroine in the Modern era. This is hands down not only one of Perez's very best covers on Wonder Woman, but one of the very best Wonder Woman cover of at least the past 30 years. This piece has even been consistently voted one of the best Wonder Woman covers of all time in various polls, making it one of the most acclaimed of any era. It is so popular that it was even chosen as one of the Wonder Woman images when the USPS issued its super-hero stamp set in 2006. Talk about iconic!

George Perez is one of the most beloved artists in comic book history. Perez broke into comics at Marvel in the mid-70s and became a sensation at a young age drawing both of Marvel's chief team books of the time, Avengers and Fantastic Four. Perez brought a whole new level of detail to superhero comic books, which made him a sensation with fans. In 1980, he switched to DC where he made history as the co-creator and artist of the New Teen Titans. He would make history again a few years later with DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths, the book that changed the entire DC Universe forever. In the aftermath of Crisis, Perez reinvented Wonder Woman for a new generation of fans, creating the most successful version of the character since the Golden Age for an acclaimed multi-year run that built a new foundation for the character and assured that Wonder Woman would be around for generations to come.

Since her first appearance 75 years ago in All-Star Comics #8, Wonder Woman has been the premiere female hero in comic books. Along with Superman and Batman, she's one of only three superhero characters to maintain their own title from the Golden Age to the present. With her upcoming introduction to the DC Cinematic Universe on March 25th, Wonder Woman will achieve a new level of global fame. The character's first solo movie, Wonder Woman is already being filmed for release in 2017. The character is also scheduled to appear in at least two Justice League films.
