This is my most recent actual commission from Thomas, as I follow him on Patreon and get other art rewards and such monthly, but for the real commissions I like to give him a subject or character and let him run with it. One of my favorite book series of all time is Stephen King's masterpiece series The Dark Tower and the world(s) of the Gunslinger. Thomas wasn't familiar with The Dark Tower series but he did a little research and turned out this amazing painting. The hot and cool in the colors really make it all pop, but his capture of the characters is great! As characters from a novel series, they can look like anyone but the character needs to be there, and I think he captured the essence quite well. So here we have Roland, the last Gunslinger, and his Ka-tet that he comes to call family and fellow Gunslingers in Eddie & Susannah Dean and Jake Chambers & his billy-bumbler best friend Oy. Roland, Eddie, Susannah, Jake, and Oy are the main characters of the series, and it is a fantastic story that I highly recommend to everyone!

Yowza! I am so impressed by your amazing collection of Thomas Boatwright's art. This one, in particular, really speaks to me. What a stunning commission!
