DescriptionTHE GOLF SEQUENCE (3)Stan Drake was an avid golfer and drew illustrations for Golf Digest and a golf book. So one can imagine he was especially enthusiastic when he got to draw a four page golf sequence in the second Kelly Green album. We can even speculate that he persuaded his buddy Leonard Starr to include some golfing in the story. In this third page the two dramas continue - luminous golfballs and botched dog kidnappings. The paths will be crossed in the climactic fourth page in the sequence. The portrait in the last panel was used as cover illustration when this story was serialized for the first time in the French magazine Pilote. Social/Sharing |
