DPS - ink washed

As soon as i saw this page with the smudge stick and the cigarette panel, her dancing in her sacred space i had to have this. this is how i saw a member of my family who is a practitioner and she would have done the same had she smoked. she was a no frills, very respectful witch and often had fun by letting the bible bashers that knocked the door come in and i watched as she would have them leaving with a lot of questions for their pastors after leaving the house.
I wanted to be like her so much.
i see a lot of that in Alex and so this piece struck a cord.

i have this piece sitting so i can see it when i walk in the door when i come home from work each day and from where i sit on my couch, and i am always finding tiny little things in the pages, the way the ink has bled in the paper, the rocks textures, the plants, the house, the sky. its truly beautiful piece and i am very happy to have this in my collection.
