Dylan is a former Scotland Yard agent, now a self-described "nightmare investigator" private detective. He is shady and romantic, it shows strange obsessions (it always dresses in the same way) and hobbies (plays the clarinet, builds a model of a galleon).It often falls in love at first sight for its customers; his best friend and assistant is a perfect impersonator of the comic actor Groucho Marx, who expresses himself through colds. The success of the series is due to the narration of Sclavi, who manages to combine an intense splatter and thrilling atmospheres, the suspense of his disturbing narratives, a flow of delusional associations to David Lynch, very elliptical, but elegant as an exercise in literary writing well beyond the genre.
