This is such a great series written and illustrated by Brahm Revel and published by Oni press about a top-secret military program during the height of the Vietnam conflict where the army began using specially trained chimps to fight the war in Southeast Asia. The story follows a timid new recruit who accidentally falls in with the experimental apes, but as they fight through the jungles of Vietnam, its unclear if the chimps are a stable fighting platoon or an erratic and volatile pack of animals. The chimps have gone through the experimental training and are trying to reconcile the ideas and orders that they've been taught with their innate animal instincts.This series deserves so much more hype than it's gotten. A great story with genuine and interesting ethical considerations and Brahm Revel is a fantastic visual storyteller, all masterfully composed.
