Description

As long as I've been collecting comic art I've wanted a Marvel Comics cover by Mark Bagley. Unfortunately his Amazing Spider-man and Venom miniseries covers are way out of my price league.

However I did manage to score this sweet All-New X-Men #11 Death of X variant cover. There were 20 variant covers of different X-Men members dying leading up to the Death of X story line. But only two of those covers featured Cyclops dying. Mark Bagley's variant is my favorite of those the two. Usually any text on modern art is digitally added in post. I like that Mark took the time to draw "Death To Mutants" on this cover.

This story line was before Marvel bought back X-Men movie rights from Fox. Kind of spoke to how Marvel felt about Mutants and the X-Men when they didn't have the movie/TV rights.

Congrats on checking a big one off the collector checklist! Impressive image, and I totally agree on the lettering - a nice touch for sure!
