Description

James Robinson and Nicola Scott created a compelling gay character in Alan Scott -- the handsome, confident powerhouse who had to learn to work with others. I stuck with the book after Robinson left and the direction changed, but only because the art was just so gorgeous. My reward is this two-page spread of Alan Scott's rebirth, where he gets the full Nicola Scott "treatment." It's funny how much DC toned down the rear-view nudity in the published book. In any case, I wish I could scan the two pages together, since the contrast of Alan's defiant return with the slaughter and destruction of the previous page is incredible.
